CBD & Sports

Cannabidiol has fast become a staple in the health and wellness industry over the last couple years and based on current projections it's safe to assume that it will only continue to grow in popularity. Education and constructive discussion have been paramount in dispelling the stigma that has clouded the industry for years, creating a paradigm shift that has changed the way the world looks at cannabis products.

No longer just for the fringe, it now seems that everyone and their dog (literally) partakes in some way, shape or form. One of the most intriguing demographics is within organized sport and the championing of CBD by high level performance athletes. Now this wouldn't be noteworthy if it was simply a case of endorsing products for a paycheck, but we're not talking about Gronk connecting a can of Coke or a box of Crispy Cremes to his recovery in time for next Sunday. That so many athletes are going beyond mere product placement and actually investing their dollars in CBD companies or validating the efficacy from their own experiences is a telling fact, and the list is growing by the day. The aforementioned Rob Gronkowski, Klay Thompson, Baker Mayfield, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Bubba Watson, Travis Pastrana, Nate & Nick Diaz, even the baddest man on the planet Mike Tyson is on board. With such a diverse cross section of advocates it's becoming abundantly clear that we're no longer dealing with a fad, this is going to be a game changer for everyone moving forward.

Part of the allure is that CBD is not a one-dimensional remedy but rather a multi faceted tool that brings relief for a number of issues, and as the science catches up to what most of us already feel is true, more and more people will get to benefit from this truly special product.
